COVID-19 - WA Community Cricket Update
Good Afternoon All….albeit a crazy one!
I just wanted to touch base with you all to let you know we are preparing a communication to go out to all our community cricket stakeholders in regards to advice for the upcoming week. Although it will be fairly self explanatory for the next five days I am thinking it will be along the lines of the following:
All community cricket activity/events for the week are to be cancelled as per Govt advice;
Associations/Comp Administrators should look at scenarios for their respective competitions in the event the lockdown is extended over the weekend and matches cannot take place (fingers cross this isn’t the case!!).
In the event the lockdown is lifted Friday night, we also need to monitor any advice from the Government in relation to other restrictions and remind everyone that now more than ever it is vital that the COVID-19 Protocols are in place – especially in relation to hygiene practices, physical distancing and use of the Safe WA App or manual register where required.
Ironically, our e-News due to go out on Tuesday had a message in it along these lines anyway – as we and many others were feeling that with life feeling so “normal” many of these protocols had fallen away! So we will ramp this message up in our Comms tomorrow.
I think that is about all for now. However, please feel free to come back to me if you have any questions or think of anything we have missed!
Stay safe everyone
Regards
